Xsan Help: A Client Is Deauthenticated When Its Password Is Changed

When you add a client computer to a SAN, you are asked to type an administrator user name and password for the client. If you later change the name or password on the client, Xsan Admin lists the client as not authenticated (with a clear rather than green status indicator). You must authenticate to that computer again, using the new name and password, from each computer where you use Xsan Admin to manage or monitor the SAN.

To reauthenticate to a client:
1. Open Keychain Access on the controller and delete all entries showing the IP address of the computer that has a new administrator user name or password.
2. Open Xsan Admin, select the SAN, and click Setup.
3. Click Computers, double-click the computer in the list, and type the new name and password.
